When was the last time your local church ran an appeal for a beleaguered arms manufacturer? How about for a pornographer, or for research into cloning embryos? Church of England collection plates are most commonly tipped into the fund for the fabric of the church building, or for a charity with which the local community is linked. Each parish church must meet various annual financial demands, chiefly the parish share; and the way in which this is achieved may be massaged, to a degree, by the benefice or the diocese.

Welby's Church of England 2021: £Trillions for Gaia Greed but Peanuts for the Parish Paupers
Let's just confirm for all our readers that our exclusive news report, and the article title above, is not in error. Yes, we did say Church of England trillions. In case you're still not picturing it, let's just confirm that in today's financial conventions, just one trillion pounds is £1,000 billion, or £1,000,000,000,000 if you prefer the added noughts. Here is what a trillion US dollars stacked up in hundred-dollar bills looks like; that would be just over £700 billion sterling at current exchange rates.
That's a lot of cash and — aside from being able to fund repairs to our crumbling churches — it is enough to tackle hunger and a lot of poverty worldwide, let alone solve these problems in the United Kingdom itself. But the money is not just £1 trillion. It is now rather nearer to £17.12 trillion sterling, or $23.5 trillion in US dollars, and that is surely quite some collection plate.
Is the Doctrine of Baalam at Work?
The word porn comes from the Greek word porneuo; to act the harlot, that is, (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practice idolatry. It is specifically mentioned in the letter to the Church of Pergamos in Revelation 2:12-17 warning of the doctrine of Baalam being taught at Pergamos where Satan had his seat. Baalam was a false profit who was hired by Balac the king of the Moabites to curse the children of Israel, only Balaam could not curse what God had blessed. So Balaam sought other means and taught Balac, how to get victory through the art of seduction, and by getting the Israelites to commit fornication with the daughters of the Moabites. The Moabite king was instructed to get the moabite women to sit outside their tents in their pretty short skirts so that when the men of Israel went by they would see them as desirable. The women invited the men of Israel in, and tricked them to eat things that were sacrificed to idols and then commit fornication with them, and the rest is history with Balac's army getting a victory. The strategy being a means to force God to abandon the children of Israel for breaking His commandments and thus, leaving them defenseless, and easily conquerable.
